The Common Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta, syn. Endymion non-scriptus, Scilla non-scripta) is a spring-flowering bulbous perennial plant. It is native to Belgium, the Netherlands, the British Isles and northern and western France.

The traditional name of "non-script" was intended to distinguish this plant from the classical hyacinth. The classical hyacinth was a flower described in Greek mythology that sprang from the blood of the dying prince Hyacinthus. As a mark of his grief on the death of the prince, Apollo inscribed the letters "AIAI".

The Common Bluebell flowers in April and May. Then, many Belgian woods are covered by dense carpets of this flower.
This picture was made today (April 29, 2008) at 'Muziekbos' in Ronse (Belgium).

Lang moeten wachten op nieuw werk, maar het is nog steeds de moeite! ;)
Mooie compositie, prachtig licht, vrolijke kleuren... :)
As we say in Chile, "puta la foto pa linda, weón!". It has no direct translation, but is a VERY colloquial way to say "what a nice pic, man!"

Nice to see your work again.
